Gynecomastia Reduction Surgery

Patient had enlarged breast after age of 12 years. Despite of loosing significant weight after adolescence, breasts never became flat, masculine. After discussing the cause of gynecomastia (in his case the most frequent, post puberty gynecomastia) we discussed gynecomastia surgery which involves removal of enlarged breast glands and fat tissue. Combination of liposuction with special cannula and direct removal of residual portion of gland was our plan. This was done in general anesthesia. Scar for gland excision was placed along lower border of areola. Result before gynecomastia surgery and 1 year after gynecomastia reduction was is presented.
