Neck Lift result after weight loss

This 45-50 year old patient had a problem with obesity her entire life. She had serious concerns about her neck appearance and, after unsuccessful attempts to contour her neck with Kybela and consecutive liposuctions (2) of the neck, we decided to proceed with anterior neck lift. For safety reasons surgery was done in general anesthesia (patient had condition known as sleep apnea, very frequently associated with obesity). Submental incision, 6-7 cm long was used to access the neck structures, reduce both superficial and deep fat compartments in the neck and reshape platysma muscle (platysmoplasty). Patient is presented before and 6 years after surgery in the first 6 photos. Last two photos are taken 4 years after neck lift surgery (before)  and 2 years after  significant weight loss (50lbs.). This result shows how neck lift can only improve after weight loss rather than create problem which requires new surgery!
