BREAST AUGMENTATION WITH SILICONE GEL IMPLANTS 45

25 years old paramedic from Boca Raton wanted breast augmentation with silicone gel implants. Patient  selected silicone gel implants, round, smooth, size 375 ml. Using lower periareolar incisions we placed gel implants into submuscular pockets, underneath the muscle.  Patient is shown 6 months after surgery with still visible scars along lower border of areola. In her age maturation, flattening and fading of scar may take 1-1.5 years. Patient is  encouraged to apply silicone gel/film (Scar Guard*) or silicone sheet fixed with paper tape over the scar for period of 6-8 months post-operatively. Before and 8 months after breast augmentationwith silicone gel implants.

Same patient shown in right profile view. Notice how breast augmentation with implants will not change actual position of nipple in relation to it’s distance to sholder and collar bone. However, fulness of breast in upper and lower pole after augmentation with breast implant gives optical illusion as if nipple is lifted. Before and 8 months after breast augmentation with 375 ml silicone gel implants placed underneath the muscle.
