LABIAL REDUCTION

A 27-year-old professional dancer came to our plastic surgery office in Fort Lauderdale seeking solution for too large labia. She claimed that she had difficulties with wearing tight pants and underwear, as well as difficulties with sexual intercourse and urination.

After detailed clinical examination and discussion of surgical options for improvement we decided to proceed with labia reduction surgery.

Procedure was performed in local anesthesia in our plastic surgery center in Ft. Lauderdale. Postoperative course was without complications; there was no need for removal of sutures since resorbable sutures were used. She was advised to avoid intercourse for 4-6 weeks.

Patient is shown before surgery for reduction of labia and immediately after labial reduction.
