FACIAL FAT GRAFTS

This 45 years old plastic surgery patient from Boca Raton came to our office for consultation regarding facial fillers. She had several procedures with Restylane, Voluma and Radiesse in the past. She wanted to see whether fat grafts would be better option.

After detailed clinical evaluation we discussed facial fat grafting as a tool to improve shape and volume of the cheeks and periorbital area (eyelids and brows).

Surgery was done in local anesthesia; it included harvest of fat tissue from her inner thigh, fat processing into viable fat grafts and injection of fat grafts into cheeks, nasolabial folds and around eyebrows. Mild to moderate swelling lasted 7-10 days.

Patient is shown before fat graft surgery and 6 months after. Notice fuller, perkier cheeks and full lateral eyebrows that look as if they were lifted.
