BREAST RECONSTRUCTION 246

This patient had a problem with her heavy, gigantic breasts for her entire life. She came to our plastic surgery center in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. to discuss breast reduction surgery. After a detailed evaluation and analysis of her condition, we made our patient aware of increased risks of complications considering her obesity and breast size. Possible loss of portion of nipple and areola, loss of sensation, delayed healing, breast asymmetry, scarring, etc. were repeatedly discussed in our preoperative consultations.

We performed her surgery in our ambulatory plastic surgery center in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. 1550 gr. and 1460 gr. (over 3 lbs. each) of breast tissue was removed from right and left breast respectively. She was discharged home after surgery. Her postoperative recovery was without complications.
