FACE LIFT AND NECK LIFT

A 58-year-old plastic surgery patient from Miami came to our Fort Lauderdale cosmetic surgery office to see what could be done to improve (rejuvenate) his neck and face. He was in excellent health, very dynamic professional man who just wanted to look refreshed rather the tired and angry.

A clinical evaluation demonstrated typical age related changes in the lower face and neck; neck skin fold (turkey gobbler), jowls, loss of jawline, said looking mouth. He also had typical changes around eyes with full, droopy upper eyelids and bulky lower eyelids. We discussed facelift and neck lift and upper and lower eyelid surgery. Patient opted to have face-neck lift and upper blepharoplasty.

His surgery was performed in an office surgery setting in our cosmetic surgery center in general anesthesia. It involved lifting and tightening of neck muscles and skin, lifting of the lower and medial portion of the face and removal of skin and fat from saggy upper eyelids. Patient was discharged home after surgery. Postoperative course was otherwise insignificant. He returned to his regular duty in 3 weeks.
