FACIAL FAT GRAFTS

This is a 52-year-old patient who had multiple facial procedures in the span of 10 years in our cosmetic surgery center in Ft. Lauderdale. Patient is shown before face and neck lift surgery, eyelid surgery and fat grafting of the face (left). Her image on the right demonstrates results several years after facial and eyes rejuvenation. There is a visible improvement (between other areas) in the fullness of her cheeks and the area where cheek and lower eyelid meet. Fat grafting in the face and around the eyes is a very meticulous procedure and creates not only changes in the volume (fullness, roundness) but also improves the color and glow of skin (stem cells effect???). In most patients fat grafting should be repeated every 2.5-3 years because loss of facial volume (loss of fat) continues as we age.
