MOMMY MAKEOVER CASE #174

This out-of-town plastic surgery patient came to our office requesting correction of saggy abdomen and heavy back deformity. She also wanted to know whether we could enlarge and shape her buttocks using her own fat.

Clinical evaluation in our Fort Lauderdale cosmetic surgery center confirmed skin and muscle laxity of the abdominal area as well as moderate deposits of the fat in patient’s back which created thick back roles.  After evaluation was completed we discussed a combination of extensive tummy tuck with additional liposuction of abdomen, flanks and back to provide correction of both abdominal and back deformity. An appropriate amount of fat grafts would be collected in the course of liposuction and used to enlarge buttocks at the end of the procedure.

Surgery was done in AAAA accredited plastic surgery center in general anesthesia. Liposuction of abdomen and flanks was done first, followed by removal of excess skin and tightening of the abdominal muscles. After correction of abdomen was completed, patient was turned on operative table; liposuction of the back and fat grafting of buttocks completed surgical procedure.

Images on the right show patient 6 months after extensive abdominoplasty, liposuction contouring of abdomen, flanks and back and enlargement of buttocks with patient’s own fat tissue. A very imaginative tattoo was placed to camouflage abdominoplasty scars.
