OTOPLASTY – EAR SHAPING

This patient had ear corrective surgery done in Europe some 20 years ago. He was not happy with symmetry of his ears, left ear being a more prominent one. Considering that his right ear looked normal and he was satisfied with it, we decided to perform correction of left ear only.

His surgery was done in local anesthesia in our office surgery center in Fort Lauderdale. Using an existing scar behind left ear correction of ear deformity was achieved by reshaping and bending left ear cartilage to match right ear.

Patient is shown before ear shaping surgery and 6 months after otoplasty (ear corrective surgery) of the left ear.
